Navigating Through Property Apps

Digital tools have changed the face of the real estate industry. Sometimes its difficult to know which ones are worth the space on your tablet or smart phone and which ones will take up unnecessary space. Compton Green has compiled a list of our favourite apps to download.

1. Compton Green Real Estate App
The Compton Green Real Estate App brings properties for sale or to rent live as they are listed to your smartphone or tablet which gives you the opportunity to inspect, purchase or rent before it hits the internet or print.

2. How to Bid at Auction Guide (iBook)
In 2013, Compton Green was the first agency in Australia to release an informative iBook which outlines vital auction information in regards to common terminology, bidding and answers frequently asked questions. To date, this iBook has received an influx of interest worldwide.
This book is available for download with iBooks on your Mac or iPad and with iTunes on your computer.

3. Houzz Interior Design Ideas
This app has a huge range of design ideas with over two million photos. The app says you can browse photos by style, room and location and save them to your virtual idea book  like clipping design magazines to a scrap book. This app is perfect for anyone – home owners, renters, architects, interior designers, the list goes on. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

4.  Magic Plan
Allows you to design your own floorplan by taking pictures of a room which will measure the room and then draw your floor plan, no measuring needed. Alternatively, you can draw your own on the app and place objects where you desire. You can then access your floorplan as a PDF, JPG or publish it as an interactive floor plan on the web. A great app for craftsmen, architects, interior designers, real estate agents and just those wanting to design their dream home. MagicPlan is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

5. Tap Mortgage Australia
Calculates the stamp duty, including transfer fees, first home concessions and the registration of a mortgage. It also calculates loan repayments, shows summaries and repayments tables including total savings for weekly or fortnightly payments verses monthly payments. Tap Mortgage Australia claims to be the #1 mortgage app for the iPhone. It’s a useful app for property buyers, mortgage brokers, estate agents, conveyances and accountants. Tap Mortgage is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPad touch.

6. Paint My Place
This app allows users to trial paint colours from well-known brands digitally, saving renovators from collecting reams of physical colour swatches. Take a photo of the area to be repainted and either use the auto-fill function or colour in the area manually to get a preview of how it will look.

7. SRO Mobile. Apple
Navigate the world of government grants and concessions for first-home buyers with the State Revenue Office’s mobile app. Users answer questions to get an assessment of which grant they are eligible for and how much they could receive.
