Sanctuary Lakes – ‘The Most Evolving Suburb in the West’
As homes continue to soar above the $1m mark in Sanctuary Lakes, first home buyers are also snapping up smart buys. Over the weekend, two bidders hotly contested for a property at 13 Middle Park Drive which sold after auction for $437,500.
Director of Compton Green, Adrian Butera believes the privileged neighbourhood will continue to attract a wide demographic. “Sanctuary Lakes is the most evolving suburb in the Western Suburbs. Tracking this suburbs growth over the years has proved to be exciting because it’s quickly evolved into one of the most sought after corridors. Recently, there has been controversy over whether it should become a suburb and I think it definitely deserves to stand on its own,” he said.
The Herald Sun recently reported an article headlining Sanctuary Lakes as ‘The Toorak of the West’ and highlighted how residents are pushing for it to be a suburb. According to the article, the chairman of Sanctuary Lakes Resort Services, Ian Brown has asked the City of Wyndham for support to establish the area as a suburb in its own right. Mr Brown said it was a vibrant community with an increasing number of children and unique features such as back-to-base security and 24-hour mobile security patrols.
The resort’s population is approaching 9000 residents with about 80 homes currently under construction. Do you think Sanctuary Lakes should be a suburb? Let us know your thoughts on https://www.facebook.com/comptongreen
