Under the Hammer

Buyers faced a strong battlefront at many auctions in the Inner West over the weekend. A range of properties fetched strong prices and here’s a recap of what sold over the weekend.



Property: 110 Dover, Road in Williamstown

Marketed Price: $700,000-$770,000

“Doverlea” is as sweet as the name suggests. Timelessly Victorian, the mix of a blue and cream colour palette draws the eye in. Once inside, character traits come alive with baltic timber floors contrasting with soaring ceilings. Ideally suited to couples and investors, the auction showcased strong bidding from multiple parties. At the end, it was a race between two and this Circa 1886 property was knocked down for $826,000.

Property: 13 Berty Street, Newport

Marketed Price: $600,000-$640,000

This property is the type to entice a range of buyers as it sits on a prime parcel of land measuring 509 sqm approx. Whatever is on your agenda, this flexible home boasts a range of features, ready to be revived or replaced for deluxe living. Four interested parties voted their interest and this property set against a family friendly neighbourhood sold for $719,000.

Marketed Price: $670,000-$720,000

Just moments to Hudsons Road shopping sits a classic 1950s weatherboard. Positioned on a land size of 512m2 approx, this home was set to lure in families or those seeking future development (STCA.) This auction was a neighbourhood hotspot and drew plenty of speculation on what ‘it would go for.’ Multiple bidders emerged straight away and all parties were eager  in their bidding. Adrian Butera brought down the hammer at $812,500.

Marketed Price: $450,000-$490,000

Lifestyle attractions are literally in every direction from this city edge sanctuary. The crowd proved to be a little shy at first but it was not long before bidding heated up and this property sold for an undisclosed price.
